- You can use RDPrep to set the lastdrive bit on your hard drive. The boot
- sequence will then not scan the SCSI buss any farther and come up right
- away. Use SCSImounter to mount the Syquest later on in your
- startup-sequence.
-
- Unfortunately, RDPrep chokes on my Rodime hard drive. I found a hack
- to get HDTools to do the same thing.. HDTools will set the lastdrive
- bit on the last hard drive it finds so.. open up your computer, unplug
- the power cable to the syquest. Now boot up, run HDtools and save.
- Put your computer together again and you will find the Syquest ignored
- on boot up. Add SCSImounter in your startup sequence to mount the
- Syquest manually.
