  33. You can use RDPrep to set the lastdrive bit on your hard drive.  The boot
  34. sequence will then not scan the SCSI buss any farther and come up right 
  35. away.  Use SCSImounter to mount the Syquest later on in your
  36. startup-sequence.

  38. Unfortunately, RDPrep chokes on my Rodime hard drive.  I found a hack
  39. to get HDTools to do the same thing..  HDTools will set the lastdrive 
  40. bit on the last hard drive it finds so..  open up your computer, unplug
  41. the power cable to the syquest.  Now boot up, run HDtools and save.  
  42. Put your computer together again and you will find the Syquest ignored
  43. on boot up.  Add SCSImounter in your startup sequence to mount the 
  44. Syquest manually.
